As promised in this post, I am showing my favorite part of Christmas decorating, or any decorating for that matter! It's all the little tablescapes, or vignettes that I love to do!
I love nativities! The whole reminder of what Christmas is all about. This display is on the coffee table in our sitting room. I strewn about twinkle lights, then covered that with cheesecloth to diffuse the light. Then arranged the nativity scene and finished by adding frosted twigs and ornaments.
This crown I have out on display year round..I have it nestled in a bowl of pearls on the coffee table, and found this scripture verse that I thought aptly applies!
I collect old books, old Bibles, and old hymnals. In this vignette I have this hymnal opened to "Hark The Herald Angels Sing".
The mantle in the sitting room. Simple, but elegant. Candles from K-Mart!
Steve's Village...
Love it!
The buffet in the formal dining room and another nativity..
The angel I had bought at a garage sale and was light green. I painted her gold. Also, I had got Mary and Joseph at 80% off at an after- Christmas sale at a Christian Book Store years ago. Their robes were originally blue and I just brushed on some gold paint to them, too. Fancied them up a bit...
A Christmas tree in the dining room...filled with antique ornaments.
..a close up of the tree.
This is the dry-sink that's in the dining room.(it used to be the kid's changing table when they were babies)...I just created a little Christmas display under the cloche..
I tucked a little Santa with some flowers and a flicker light under the cloche.
So that's it for part one. Part two will be in the family room and kitchen.
I got a question for ya...do you think I post too many pictures in one posting? Should I space them out more over a few days? Or do you get bored with so many pics and prefer I just show a few?
I appreciate your feedback! :-)
Keep lots of pictures! That way I feel like I'm visiting you....
