The Rusty Clover

Sunday afternoon my friend, Cindy, and I braved the weather (it was a bit rainy) and motored up to The Antique Street Faire in Auburn, Ca.  It was there that I found THE cutest booth and I just HAD to show you!

Colette and Katy from The Rusty Clover are two very talented and creative gals! I'm just going to let the pictures speak for themselves! ;-)

Hi Colette!!! :-D

They had such darling displays, don't you think?

Vignette Friday

Welcome to Vignette Friday, hosted by Artie at Color Outside The Lines!
This is a fall display I just did on the coffee table in our family room.

Everything came from the thrift store..except that cute white pumpkin.. The candle holder is really a lamp shade inverted with a votive inside. Oh, and the 'feathers' coming out of the pitcher is from the Dollar Store.

When I was in San Diego, I was able to see my sweet friend, Toni, who had embellished this darling pumpkin to give to me! She had made a large one for herself for her Thanksgiving centerpiece~very clever!
Be sure to visit Color Outside the Lines for more fabulous Vignettes!!
Have a lovely weekend!

Heart of the Home

Hi! I just got back from attending a beautiful wedding of my friend's daughter in San Diego and quickly snapped a few pictures of our kitchen just in time to participate in sweet Shelia's  Heart of the Home Party!

I had slapped up a few Fall decorations before I left...

The old white bowl on the counter containing tomatoes was recently given to me from Darlou, my MIL.
It had belonged to her mother. A new treasured heirloom!!

Here is the buffet all decked out~the pilgrims are out holding their bounty for Thanksgiving.
Steve and I bought the pilgrims on our trip to Vermont 4 years ago.

The ever changing centerpiece on our dining room table..the platter is from the Tracy Porter collection..and a thrift store find!

This is the view from the dining table. The 'E' above the stove was from the screen door of the house Steve grew up in. I am sentimental about EVERYTHING!! ;-)

And a lovely reminder on weary days.....

So that's our Heart of the Home~Thanks for visiting!...There are beautiful kitchens to be viewed over at Note Songs..
Check them out!!

There is no sight on earth more appealing than the sight of a woman making dinner for someone she loves.

Fun at Judy's

Yesterday I got to go visit and spend the day with one of my favorite friends, Judy.
She is, bar none, THE most creative person I know!

This is one of the many photo albums she made for her mother-in-law and the family..

It was in celebration of her MIL's 90th Birthday!!
Just darling!! In the picture of her mother-in-law (above) is Judy's husband, Bill,  on the right and Bill's brother on the left.

And this is a Christmas photo album she's made for her family..

I don't think any of them read my blog, so hopefully I'm not giving anything away..! ;-)

Just DARLING!!

Judy's recently gotten into creating ATC's and created this adorable holder for them!

Her attention to detail amazes me!

Here are a few of the ATC's she's created, as well as a couple of match boxes.
The 'Doodle' is from her son's girlfriend..she doodles the most adorable characters. Judy printed it out and made a three dimensional ATC with it..
Another view of the holder. SO CUTE!!

Of course, lunch was, as always, a delight to the eyes as well as the palate!
We dined in the backyard with the sound of the fountain nearby and the birds tweeting about...I always feel so pampered and loved when I'm at Judy's..

I adore my visits with Judy. We talk about life and love and God and of course, crafts!
Thank you for a wonderful time, dear friend!! I love you!
"I'd like to be the sort of friend that you have been to me. I'd like to be the help that you've been always glad to be; I'd like to mean as much to you each minute of the day, as you have meant, old friend of mine, to me along the way." {unknown}

I am going to San Diego for a few days to attend a wedding, leaving Steve here to hold the fort down. Have a great weekend!!
