Tablescape Tuesday

My dad came to visit for a long weekend--had a great time with him and was away from the computer most of the time...Monday Steve took me on a day trip--we motored up to the quaint little town of Nevada City. We lunched at the National Hotel--and old hotel (duh) that was built in the 1800's...
We were the only ones in the restaurant and so I took the liberty of taking a few pics...then the thought occured to me--is it breaking 'the rules' if I used this as my Tablescape Tuesday? ;-)

It would have been perfect had all the kerosene lamps been lit. I was afraid the management would've frown upon me had I requested that, so I kept my mouth shut.

Steve and I had a lovely lunch there...then tootled around the town. We drove north on Hwy 49 and got 'lost', but found some great little mining towns that we'd like to explore another time.

Thank you, lovely ladies, for all your kind comments and sharing my excitement in being 'published' in Vintage Indie! This blog has been so much fun--and the best part is meeting such wonderful, supportive gals!!

Have a great day!

  4. Loved visiting teh restaurant w/ you but since this is my first tablescape Tuesday, I just have to comment on your previous tables. You take things to excess, I like that in a decorator! ;o) Your tea party table is my fave!

    Nice meeting you!

  12. Looks like a terrific old hotel to visit! And I'm so glad you had a nice time while your dad was with you, too! Family is very important, the blogging world will always be here, but sadly, not always our dear parents.

    Thanks for sharing!

  14. Wonderfully appointed dining room. Looks like they also have booths, which provide a measure of privacy. Glad you enjoyed your trip. DH and I have done several day trips within range of our stomping grounds.
