In the throes of fall decorating...

Above is a picture of our family room this summer--I used sea-shells and aqua colors... and below is the mantle all dressed for fall.
Now that I'm looking at the picture, I'm thinking of replacing the hydrangeas on the small trunk for something a little more "fall-ish". It's funny how things look differently in pictures than in real life. How come 'stuff' doesn't look 10 lbs heavier in pictures?? ;-)
Below is a close up of the corner of the mantle for summer....
..and this is how it looks now.

I gotta go to Bible Study this morning--then working on the sitting room this afternoon. I'll post pics asap....
Have a great day!!

  1. HAH!!! Just tell me about it, chickee!!! I'm redoing my office and am swamped with things to do.....Now I'm stuck till the painter gets us backside in gear and paints the walls "PINK". I think he's in shock from the color, but I don't think it's too pink at all. ;-)

  2. So pretty! Love your home in Fall Decor! : )

  3. Looking good so far. I am looking forward to see what you do for fall decor.

  4. Hi...I had to laugh about the 10 lbs. heavier comment...I love fall and your decor is very pretty...

  5. Hey there Myrn.....I see you are hard at work doing what you do best....making life beautiful around you. You continue to inspire me! Paul is gone all week, maybe I'll rearrange my living room!
    Happy Fall,
