Tablescape Tuesday
For this week's Tablescape Tuesday, put on by Susan at Between Naps on the Porch, I'm showing the table I did for my Step-mom's 70th Birthday party in May. I had a tea luncheon for her and her daughters and close friends.
I copied a vintage Birthday greeting and framed it as part of the front of the centerpiece, along with some faux sweets and the "Tea Room" sign given to me from my dear friend, Anita, who knows my love of tea parties!
Here is a close up of the place settings. Each guest went home with the "Planted Teacup" (all silk) The gold edged pink floral dishes I got at a garage sale! They came with dinner plates, cups and saucers along with the luncheon plates--set of eight for $10!! The teapot napkin rings were another thrift store find.
Here's a view of the back of the centerpiece. I draped gloves off the back of the framed greeting so guests weren't just staring at the back of a frame.
It was fun to go back to view these photos and remember what fun time it was!!
See ya next Tuesday for probably a more 'Fallish' tablescape!!
Thanks again for hosting, Susan--be sure to check her blog for the other gals entries--they are inspirational, imaginative and clever!!
