Tabletop Tuesday~The Top Shelf

For Tabletop Tuesday this week I'm showing the shelf above the window in our kitchen. Maybe today I should call it "TopShelf Tuesday!" ;-) Marty said anything displayed on dressers, shelves, and tables, etc. counts for Tabletop Tuesday, so here goes! This first image is most of the whole shelf that runs across the windows. Steve made it for me a couple of years ago.

And here is the left side.  See that platter with the silverware on it? I just picked the platter up at a thrift and glued on the fork, knife, and spoon with E600 glue. I think it goes nicely in the kitchen!! ;-)

The longer version of the left side..I like to collect vintage aprons, and cookbooks too..

Here is the right side of the shelf. The goodies on the shelf are everything from garage sales, to heirlooms from my Mom..always out looking pretty and sweet. Makes me smile when I walk into the kitchen!

Pop on over to Marty's at A Stroll Thru Life to see other fun Tabletops!!
Have a great day!!

Your platter with the silverware glued on is just the most creative thing I have ever seen. I would love to look at this when I walk in the kitchen too. Beautiful. Thanks so much for joining the party. This is perfect. Hugs, Marty

  9. Myrna, I want your house and everything in it! I dream of a shelf up high to show my collections, but the ceiling is just too low. Your valance is just adorable too. Green with envy...Sherry
