Metamorphosis Monday-The Master Bathroom

Wow! Can you believe it's already Susan's 35th Metamorphosis Monday?! Congrats, Susan!
I'm speaking of our lovely host over at Between Naps on the Porch
So, for my Met Monday, I am showing you one of my favorite rooms..the master bath!
This was the first time in 27 years of marriage the I got to have my own bathtub in the master bathroom.
I had snapped a pic awhile back when I was doing some major cleaning, so it's serving as my "before" picture.
After my "woeful" day, my sweet friend, Ceekay, suggested I take a bath (a GREAT idea), so while the water was running I snapped away pictures of it all decorated...
The toile curtains came from our previous house...the "lace curtain" in the middle window is really a tablecloth! That's all I had on hand, and I think it works!
As I've stated before, this house was all wallpapered when we bought it..the blessing in it was that it was all in our colors!
One can never have too many candles when taking a bubble bath! Do you see the little sugar caddy? I use it to house my razor. And lavendar soap is nestled in a pot-metal pedestal bowl. Everything is either thrift store finds or treasures passed down from the family..
This white metal rack I suppose is for potted plants. It makes a great towel holder here..
This little gold whatchmacallit is missing it's scales....I remember seeing things like this on the center of a formal dining table with plastic grapes sitting on the scales. For this I think it's a great towel bar!
This darling 'candleier' is made with pressed-glass punchbow cups glued (with E600 Glue) onto a chandelier that had all it's workings taken out. Then I just draped a prism garland around the bottom..a Christmas decoration that I picked up after Christmas sale...
Those cute little bottles that I wrote about here are now on display here..
My perfume bottle collection...
My sweet and thoughtful husband, knowing how much I love bubble baths, purchased this picture for me several months ago. I love it!!
And in plain view while I'm soaking in the suds is this wonderful reminder...
"Be joyful in hope, Patient in affliction, Faithful in prayer.
Romans 12:12
Thanks again for your sweet, encouraging comments! And I leave you with this cool quote I just came across..
"We start to realize that there are anodynes in life that help us through the day. I don't care if it's a walk in the park, a look out the window, a good bubble bath--whatever. Even a meal you like, or a friend you want to call. That helps us solve all this stuff in our head."
Al Pacino
And you, my dear blogging friends, help solve the 'stuff' in MY head! :-)
Have a wonderful day!

  4. Oh....I LOVE your tub area....it looks like an old victorian bathroom! I really like that you have so much room around the tub...my areas are much smaller...That towel grouping is adorable...
I am so glad the bath helped.
I have a sign by my tub that says
"There isn't much that a hot bath won't help!"

  10. I love a good soak bath too....the good part is that you can sit and cry and because you're already wet, it doesn't really matter!
