So, as usual, my favorite part of a meal is the setting of the table! And took the opportunity to use it for Tablescape Thursday~hosted once again, by the lovely Susan at Between Naps on the Porch
I thought blue and yellow would be a cheery tablesetting. The blue plates are our 'everyday' dishes. The flatware was purchased years ago at Big Lots. The chargers were a gift from my husband. Toile tablecloth a thrift store find..(it came with matching napkins, too!)
The tumbler was a thrift store find, and I handpainted the stemware years ago...I love how the colors matched perfectly!
Candles lit..(even tho it was 11 a.m.) it just makes it that more special!
Roses from our garden. And the tea light holders were from an Easter sale at the local grocery store last year!
Be sure to visit Between Naps on the Porch...there are so many wonderful tablescapes to feast your eyes on! (I intended the pun) ;-)
And thank you to those who were so sweet to comment and leave words of encouragement to me on my last post. You have no idea how much you helped my out of my 'doldrums'! You are a blessing to me!
What a gorgeous table..how I would love to have german pancakes with you :) The funny thing is my colors are usually creams, browns, taupes and yes even whites :) But your tablescape makes me smile and having a meal where you are smiling before you even taste the food is the ticket :) Rose
ReplyDeleteYou can never go wrong with the pretty blue & yellow color combination!
ReplyDeleteThat tiny vase you have your beautiful roses sitting in is precious beyond words. Very vintage looking!
It was sweet of you to do such a nice table for your niece, Katie. Making memories with our loved ones is what its all about.
SWEET! This looks like the perfect breakfast table! :) I'll have a cup of coffee! please? :)

Love blue and yellow. Did you say you painted those wine glasses? Exactly how did you do that? What kind of paint? Guess they're not dishwasher safe. That would be a fun post - hand painting glasses to match your tablescape perfectly!

Such a pretty table...I love that lamp especially :o)
ReplyDeleteGorgeous table. I lovely place to sit and visit with family and friends.
ReplyDeleteLOVE, LOVE, LOVE the pretty blue dishes and the wonderful toile tablecloth. All of the accessories are just fabulous. What a pretty table and I love German pancakes. One of my favorites. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteYou are so sweet to make your niece pancakes. The table is lovely and I think blue and yellow is quickly becoming a favorite of mine. I love the hand painted glasses...you did a beautiful job on them.
ReplyDeleteYour table is sooo pretty. I love the toile tablecloth and the chargers. The chargers are so different and unique.
ReplyDeleteI just made myself crepes the other day. My grandma made them at least once a week. We filled ours a little unusual...sweetened cottage cheese. But I love it.
ReplyDeleteGreat tablescape!
This is so pretty -- I do like the blue and yellow combination -- that tablescloth was a wonderful find! I know your neice must adore you!
ReplyDeleteHi what a lovely table setting, the blue and yellow is so fresh and beautiful... I hope you two had a lovely day... thanks for sharing..

Such a beautiful table with the blue and yellow and roses from your garden. Does it get better? Well, the German pancake makes it heavenly! German pancakes or French toast would be my favorite breakfast choice.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing. ~ Sarah
Well, I just love yellow and blue (and that is also what I did on my tablescape this week). I love the handpainted glasses--really sweet. Those are such beautiful roses too--I used to have big ones but I was so tired of fighting blackspot that I went to carpet roses. The carpet roses need about no care and really bloom well from spring into fall so I am pleased, but miss the giant flowers I once had! Anyways, a nice tablescape and I agree candlelight is good any ole time!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty table but blue and whiteis my favorite! Love the blue and white on blue and white.
