For today's Metamorphosis Monday, hosted by the lovely Susan at
Between Naps on the Porch.
I'll be doing a little tutorial of an idea that came to me when I decided to host a small event.
The 'event' I'll be sharing on Thursday for Tablescape Thursdays!
I have a collection of my father's old vintage skinny ties.....
I measured 8 inches and cut them that length...
then curled them to make a loop..(gee~I need a manicure!)
inside of loop....
Then I sewed a vintage button to attach the loop together. I used quilting thread because it's strong and I only needed to use a couple of stitches to hold it...
TA~DA! Neck-Tie Napkin Rings!!!!!
Stay tuned for the reveal of how I used the napkin rings on Thursday for Tablescape Thursday!
Isn't the suspense just too much ?!? ;-)
Myrna, what a great idea...You always make me smile. I just learned how to follow a blog and wanted to follow yours beause I enjoy it so much, but I can't find the lil follow thingy :) Please visit me and let me know how to do it. Thank you. Rose

What a fun idea! Just last night at I saw a girl with a skirt out of neck ties.....who would have thought to recycle these things into something so fun?! Only you.....I always say you seem to see a thousand ways to use something! Very creative! I may just have to dig out that bag of saved neck ties of Pauls! Love, Toni

Cute!!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the lovely comments about the journals. (They are on sale at Office Max right now for 50 cents each!!!) If you are real nice to the manager he/she may sell you more than 6 at a time. I got 18 more and I'm clicking away making journals. I am going to go to Mammo places and to the local hospital cancer unites. Praise the Lord that you are a SURVIVOR!!! That encourages me to get more done. It has, however taken the place of my beading...lol Thanks again and thank you for stopping in.
ReplyDeleteI really like the ties!!! YOU are so clever...sharon
