Knee Deep in Summer..

How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good news, who proclaim peace, who bring good tidings, who proclaim salvation, who say to Zion," Your God reigns!"
Let the fields be jubilant, and everything in them. Then all the trees of the forest will sing for joy.
Ps. 96:12

The Lord will guide you always; He will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land and will strengthen your frame. You will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail.
Is. 58:11

He makes me lie down in green pastures....

...He leads me besides quiet waters.....

....He restores my soul...
Ps. 23:2
Your righteousness is like the mighty mountains, Your justice like the great deep.
Ps. 36:6

Sharing a few pics of our annual camping trip to Sawmill Lake~a secluded area that is a treacherous drive, but well worth it! This was Winston's first time camping. He wasn't sure what to make of it all, but he seemed to have a good time, and I was relieved that he left the snakes alone. (Little, harmless water snakes...)

We hiked, swam, rafted, and played games.....Although we were 'roughing it', Steve and I made sure to make time for ourselves and share a bit 'o' the grape. ;-)

Steve, the gourmet cook, with Winston hoping for a morsel to drop!

The deal was, Steve and I cooked, and Courtney and Caleb did dishes...

Our campsite...our friends, Brian and Jenni had joined us, too.

A great time was had by all. 'Nothing like spending a few days in God's country to restore, renew and replenish one's soul!!

  1. That looked like a fabulous trip.
I could almost smell the fresh air!
    Happy for you

  2. That looks like fun and the old fashioned way with fire, tent and so on. None of that mamby pamby 5th wheel motor home stuff, LOL!
Glad you all had a good time.
Me, I am camped out in the basement, the coolest place right now!

  3. Wonderful photos! Looks like you all had so much fun. Thanks so much for your comment at my blog yesterday. It was the sweetest comment *ever* and I appreciate your words way more than you know! I always love to have you visit... come again soon! (And keep the lovely photos coming here at your blog, too.) :) Hugs, Debra

  4. Love the pictures and thank you for the inspiring scriptures to start my day!
    Bless you,
