Apple Farm Inn

Recently, our BFF's, Dave and Laura treated us to 2 nights and 3 days at Apple Farm Inn located in San Luis Obispo. California. Apple Farm Inn is the best of both worlds..posh hotel/bed and breakfast all rolled into one!
Every room is beautifully decorated differently and everywhere you look are darling vignettes..

This was Dave and Laura's room..I immediately noted one of my favorite artist's picture hanging on the far left hand corner, Susan Rios! ;-)

Their adjoining bathroom..
How cute is this? The coffee pot and cups perched on a cake plate!! And notice the imprint of an apple on the wall? The signature in every room.

And here was our room! Brown and aqua toile! I swooned! (not really, but I wanted too!)  :-D

Every room has it's own fireplace!

And our cute bathroom...Steve and I thought of our baby grand-daughter, Lindy, when we saw this sweet painting of the girl!

And our coffee maker and cups nestled in a beautiful platter!!

The restaurant is adorable with wonderful food!

The next day was spent tootling thru the local wine country..our first stop was Tobin James, a darling winery.

Laura and I in the courtyard of Tobin James..

The only other pictures I took of a winery was Clautiere Vineyard because it was so fun and whimsical!

While the guys tasted wine,

...Laura and I tried on hats!! ;-)

Later we motored down to Morro Bay to dine on Fish and Chips.

Laura and I managed to fit some shopping in. She found the locations of Thrift Stores on her I-Phone and on the way we found this cute shop.

You can just tell by the front door that you're in for a treat! The rest of the pics are of Old World Charm:

Gorgeous shop, isn't it?
As always, our visit with Dave and Laura went way too fast, but we (as always) had a fabulous time with them.

  2. I used to stay at the Apple Farm all the time. Then they switched owners and it went down hill. Sounds like maybe they sold it and it's now back up to the standards it used to be. I'm so happy to hear that.

I love going there and shopping in the towns around there.

You have made me want to go back. Thanks for the tour.

Did you guys find any fun thrift stores? Did you get anything there?

    Hugs
