Last week Steve and I motored up to Placerville, California and tootled around the museum and shops. We stopped in this antique store and immediately my morbid (pun intended) curiosity took over! I asked the owner if I could snap a few pics and she graciously agreed. The shop is called Gothic Rose Antiques and I will just let the pictures speak for themselves. I was impressed with the way she merchandised and displayed all the weird and wonderful treasures...

Oh I love this shop, reminds me of the one that I've posted about before called Uncommon Objects. Their displays seem similar and I think I've seen this shop either on a blog or I think they might have a website. Do you know if they do. Thanks for posting.

First thing that came to mind---this is a gothic place. All the dark things and elaborate shapes...Also reminded me of that show...Dark Shadows...Do you remember that one?

She does have some very unique treasures! (that head in the glass case at the end looks like a horror movie). Very interesting. Thanks for showing us. laurie
