Vignette Friday/Tabletop Tuesday

(Update: I am linking up to Tabletop Tuesday using Friday's vignette display...I'm feeling much better and 'twas working all weekend redecorating our Master Bedroom with Steve. Hope to show it to you as soon as possible! Lindy, our 9 month old granddaughter is bringing her parents up to visit later this week. Lindy's crawling and pulling herself up now, so I'll be "Lindy-proofing" the house tomorrow. ;-)
Pop over to Marty's at A Stroll Thru Life and see some remarkable tabletop displays!
I've had a full week and today woke up sick. :-(  I've had no energy and have just layed around all day feeling puny. But I mustered enough strength to drag my sorry behind to the computer to participate in Vignette Friday hosted by the talented decorator, Artie at Color Outside the Lines.

I had just redid this little display in the hall niche a couple of days ago. All the items except the cherub came from different parts of the house. The cherub plant holder I'd picked up at a thrift store when I was in Eureka. Got her for $2.00!! Gotta love a deal!
There's really no rhyme or reason to this display..I was feeling very neutral at the time and just grabbed things in the same color scheme and arranged them in a pleasing manner. Well, in a pleasing manner to me anyway! ;-)  Maybe I was already delirious with a fever by then and it shows (?) LOL!
Those candle holders I've had for awhile..they were just glass and I wrapped them first in brown packing paper, then in vintage sheet music. Just taped it all together. Then I wrapped vintage lace around them and that's held together with vintage earrings. Took me about 5 minutes to put that together...
okay, I'm rambling now..I need to get back to bed.
Be sure to check out other fabulous vignettes at Color Outside the Lines! Thanks, Artie!

Hope you all have a wonderful Labor Day weekend!

  11. What a sweet display of clocks and candles! Sometimes something simple makes a nice, effective statement. Like that you added some greenery for contrast, too.

I love all the clocks. I think it is very pretty and interesting. Thanks so much for linking to TTT. Hugs, Marty

  13. I love what you did with the candles...imagine how much they would cost if you had bought them this way!! And I adore the cherub...it's so cute!! I collect clocks, too, never thought to group them together, what a great inspiration!

I hope you feel better soon, a summer virus is no fun.
