Christmas~Dining Room

I had so much fun decorating our formal table!! It all started with the red Reindeer...2 for a dollar at the Dollar Tree!! They are ornaments but I wanted to use them as napkin rings.

I hadn't done red and green in our dining room before..I usually stuck with pinks and burgandys. But I loved the punch the red reindeer added, so thought a green tablecloth would be a perfect backdrop. Then I realized I didn't have a green tablecloth!! So I scrounged around my stash of linens and found one silk curtain panel in the perfect shade of green..tossed it on the table, and threw this beautiful crochet tablecloth over it.
Ta Da! Perfect! ;-)

That green pedestal bowl I got at Ross on clearance for $2.00!! And the red peacock was an after-Christmas sale last year at 75% off... the beaded bobeches were a garage sale find several years ago.
And the green Victorian-esc wine glasses were gifted to Steve and me on our 50th Birthday's by his brother and sis-in-love..

I fashioned the centerpiece in the bowl with glittered greens, ornies, flowers and glittered pine cones...

...and stuck a reindeer in it~can you see it? The water goblets are heirlooms from my mom..

Dishes were a Costco find a few years ago. Here's another view of the table...

We have a tree in practically every room downstairs. This one holds antique ornaments.

And the buffet is festooned in Christmas goodness!

A sweet and simple Nativity...("Oh come let us adore Him..')

And the teapot (a gift from BFF Laura) is out ready to be put to use at a moments notice should a friend pop by..

And yet another view of the table. Thanks for visiting! I'm linking to Susan of Between Naps on the Porch and Julia of Hooked on Houses. So many lovely Christmasy displays to be viewed there! Enjoy!

From home to home, and heart to heart,..from one place to another. The warmth and joy of Christmas brings us closer to each other.
