This year for our annual Christmas Tea at our church I collaborated with my friend, Jenni, in decorating a table. When we started talking about ideas, we were astonished to find we both had the same idea for a Christmas table..something out of the ordinary..
We both wanted blacks, and creams and silver as our color scheme. Jenni thought of burlap for the tablecloth...love it!! ;-)
Jenni made these darling trees out of book pages. We nestled moss around them and added the silver glitter churches..$1.00 ea. at WalMart! For added sparkle we also used my mercury glass votive and tea light holders and some glittery snowflakes.
I punched out flowers out of old sheet music and scattered them about the table along with Jenni's black buttons.
The plates and chargers and mugs and silver tea pots are mine. We both like the look of tarnished silver, so I left the tea pots as is. Since we didn't have saucers for the tea bags, I added my white bone plates at each table setting to hold the used tea bags.
Jenni made the napkin rings from paper towel holder, wrapped glittered ribbon (from WalMart) around it and glued three buttons. DARLING!
Here's a pic with the candles lit.
Jenni and me. A fun team!! ;-)
Christmas began in the heart of God. It is complete only when it reaches the heart of man.
