A Day in the Life of Lindy

You may have noticed I've been away from my blog for awhile. One of my BFF's, Susan, calls it my bi-annual slump. I go through a period of time when I feel dried up, creatively, emotionally, etc. Feeling like I have nothing to say, nothing to offer. I have come to accept this side of me, knowing that 'this too, shall pass'.
But I wasn't exactly moping around the house all the time~just part of the time. LOL!
One sure-fire way to pull one out of a slump is to spend time with this little cutie-pie. I recently had the opportunity to fly down for a visit and had the joy of watching her for two days of my five day visit while her parents were away.

So this is Lindy  first thing in the morning..happy and ready for her and bunny to be picked up...

We watched a little Barney while Lindy had her milk and Grandma, I mean MiMi (that's what she's named me!) had her coffee..

Breakfast, then packed a snack and off we went on a walk. They live 500 ft. from the ocean, but I took the long way around, ending up there...

Purty flower to show me..

On the pier..

Lunch time, then a nap! Oh, and Lindy took a nap too.. ;-)

After nap, Play-Doh! We had so much fun..she made me laugh constantly..what is that verse? "A cheerful heart is good medicine" (Proverbs 17:22)

That night Zac and Amy got home and the next day Amy, Lindy and I were off to go shopping!!

Lindy with her beautiful Mama, Amy.

..and her handsome Daddy, Zac.

Morning on the beach..

"A girl is Innocence playing in the mud, Beauty standing on its head,
and Motherhood dragging a doll by the foot"

  1. What a sweetie! I tell you girlfriend...a day with the grands...you NEED a nap. I can just sit and watch them run around and play and it still wears me out. That is why God intended young women to have the babies and the more mature women...to spoil them!!

  2. How nice that you could spend some time with your granddaughter! That is so neat. Mine (have 2 granddaughters now) live in Florida...not so easy to visit. But they are coming here for Thanksgiving!
