This weeks
TMTA is on dancing...and when I read the prompt word, LeeAnn Womack's song "I Hope You Dance" sprang to mind. I gave the book of the same name plus the CD to my daughter, Courtney after she graduated from high school and began her life's adventures as a young adult.
She has blossomed into a beautiful young woman of 24 and is one of my best friends. It is a wonderful experience watching your children grow to adults and become 'friends' with them! She is someone who I greatly admire....I've watched her navigate her life--watched her as she took heartbreaking experiences and allowed them to make her stronger, and more confident.
I've included the words to the song....and it's still dedicated to Courtney. I love you, sweetie!!

I HOPE YOU DANCE
I hope you never lose your sense of wonder
You get your fill to eat but always keep that hunger
May you never take one single breath for granted
God forbid love ever leave you empty handed
I hope you still feel small when you stand beside the ocean
Whenever one door closes, I hope one more opens
Promise me that you'll give faith a fighting chance
And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance
I hope you dance
I hope you never fear those mountains in the distance
Never settle for the path of least resistance
Living might mean taking chances
But they're worth taking
Lovin' might be a mistake
But it's worth making
Don't let some hell bent heart leave you bitter
When you come close to selling out --reconsider
Give the heavens above more than a passing glance
And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance
I hope you dance....
