I've been wanting a cruet holder like this for years, but didn't want to pay antique store prices..Courtney spied this one. I was thrilled to find it affordable!! One of the cruets is missing...just will put me on a mission to find one! ;-) By the way, does anyone know what all the containers are supposed to hold? I'm figuring salt and pepper, oil and vinegar, but I'm not sure of the other two....

Goodwill and my T.V. Debut
..So a new Goodwill had a grand opening yesterday near where I live. Courtney and I braved the crowds and ventured in. As usual, Goodwill Thrift Store didn't disappoint! A local news crew were outside when we were leaving and interviewed Courtney and I for their nightly news. We were on a 6:30....Courtney was quote as saying thrift stores are trendy and you can find designer clothes there at a fraction of the cost. I was quoted saying you can find amazing deals there. So I had my 45 seconds of fame.... Here are the treasures I just couldn't live without!

You looked like a movie star on your television debut, complete with sunglasses! But you always look like a movie star to me. Steve
ReplyDeleteSoy sauce? Different flavored olive oils?
ReplyDeleteWe have a cruet set that has been passed down in our family, my sister has it....very much like yours. Love the little birdie nest thing! Looking forward to more post of Spring at the Ernst home soon! Toni

ReplyDeleteYou done good honey
I want to come to your GW store! Wonderful finds. That cruet stand is great. The cruet bottles are especially pretty. What a find. laurie
ReplyDeleteWow you found some neat things and had fun too. You celeb you!
ReplyDeleteJust curious what you paid for the cruet set, those are big bucks usually in antique stores.
I have always wanted one but never at a good deal or with so many pieces intact.
Linda
Hello Myrna,
ReplyDeleteI hope things balance out for you soon, I am so familiar with that feeling...I love your cruet set! Wow what a find at a Goodwill? I have one and put it on layaway at a little antique store downtown many years ago. Mine has cherries on it. I'll keep my eye out for a bottle for you. Take care a be blessed Pinkie
you've inspired me, I am headed to the Goodwill tomorrow! Have not hit ours in a long time, but will make sure I do now! You scored great treasures! I am so glad to see that you have such great friends that follow God's prompting to nudge you a little...fellowship is a lovely blessing and a much needed one! I remember commenting the first time on your blog and you sent back a little encouragement and a prayer, to know that someone would do that when they don't really know me, is just a real gift from God! Hang in there and keep your head up, count your blessings and laugh with friends, tomorrow is a new day and the Son will shine!
ReplyDeleteYou made a major score!!! Sadly our GW closed and I must drive to OKCity--but there are like 5 stores there.
ReplyDeleteYour cruet set looks great. In the South one usually has Tabasco sauce and pepper sauce (hot peppers in vinegar)on the table, so that's an idea.
Found you via TP, I've added you to my favs.
