Susan, at
Between Naps on the Porch is hosting Metamorphosis Monday---all about BEFORE and
AFTER's.....

We moved the buffet that was in the kitchen into the sitting (front) room and I thought I'd just like to do a display with no real rhyme or reason, just grab stuff from around the house and pull it together. I had such fun playing!!

I first grabbed a throw that was on the back of the love seat and scrunched it up on the buffet. From there, I grabbed a couple of large pitchers and a bowl from the dining room, the fireplace screen that was in front of the fireplace in the sitting room, a bowl of seashells that were tucked away in a closet, a vase with some greenery from the master bedroom and also a little 'spring display' with the bunny and sheet music under a cloche. The candle holders came off the coffee table and I changed the candles from
burgundy to pink.

It was such fun pulling it all together. Like I said, no rhyme or reason, just pleasing to my eyes!!
(Steve liked it too!) ;-)

Even tho Easter's over, I just love this little bunny so much, that I'm keeping him on display awhile longer!!
Have a lovely day!!
It looks so lovely and I love to go around and move stuff here and there too. I have a couple of bunnies that stay out all the time too.

Stunning. I love the way you took a lot of different things and the arrangement is perfect. I think it's such a talent to be able to put such a lovely vignette together. I am paying close attention and oh how I wish I could figure this all out. Thanks for the inspiration. Hugs, Marty

Hi Myrna,
ReplyDeleteThanks for commenting! The funny part is that I've been to your blog before...but probably didn't comment (Bad Kimba). I think it was when I was looking at the Metamorphasis Monday links. You have a beautiful blog.
Feel free to use hints with your group. That's so nice of you to ask. If there's anything that I can help you with, just let me know.
Kimba

It all looks so pretty. For some reason when I attempt this it looks like I just threw it all onto my table. You are very creative. Thanks for sharing.

Hey Myrn!
ReplyDeleteIt takes a real knack for design to pull off a vignette like that - and you've got it...in spades! Love how you pulled it all together! Your tablescapes, which I look forward to each Thursday, are the same way...so nicely textured, rich, cozy...not stuffy or pretentious. Love your style girl!!
